Samsung is producing a new smartphone for budget users called Samsung M12. The mid range phone has been spotted on Geekbench by forum users, revealing detailed specifications. M12 adapts a similar spec sheet to its predecessor, Samsung M11. But the newer version comes with with a new Exynos 350 chipset along with Android 11 out of the box. Only a 3GB variant was spotted and here is the full spec roundup.
Samsung M12 Specs, Price revealed
The first screenshot appeared on Mysmartprice.com, as model number SM-M127F on December 11. The device has reportedly received a score of 178 for Single core and 1,025 for multi core. The phone has a 6.5 Inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a pixel ratio of 720×1560 pixels. The side mounted fingerprint reader uses biometric authentication for a secure lock screen. The handset features a water drop notch with a plastic body on the rear. A Quad camera unit has been packed to the rear upper corner. The screen aspect ratio of 19:5:9 will be best suited for online streaming.
A few upgrades have been made to the cameras compared to M11. The camera module includes a 13 MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 2MP depth lens (f/2.4), 8MP (f/2.2) ultra wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera . For selfies, an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture is located in the water drop notch.
Other specifications like 3GB RAM, 64GB storage and processor are similar to M11 and have no upgrades. The Android 11 experience with One UI will provide a smooth experience combined with a 7000 mAh mega battery. The handset comes with 15W fast charger in the box. The usual networking ports like Bluetooth, GPS, Type-c port and headphone jack are provided as well.
Even though the spec sheet doesn’t include pricing, the mid range model will be priced similar to M11 or lesser. Some users quoted a price of around 10,000-11,000 INR for the currently revealed specs. The Samsung M11 had a 4GB variant too, making it a possibility for M12 to be releasing a version of the same.
The Official launch date has not been revealed, but the new budget handset is estimated to be arriving to both online and offline stores before new year.
